Armed robbers loot 200 tolas of gold, $100,000 in Karachi heist
1 min readIn a brazen heist in the upscale Bahadurabad area of Karachi, a resident was robbed of 200 tolas of gold and 100,000 US dollars in cash shortly after returning home from the bank, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the armed robbers chased the victim during his travel on Sharea Faisal before making the strike at his residence.
Robbers included four armed men riding on motorcycles, who fled the scene after looting gold and cash from the citizen.
The total value of the stolen gold and cash is estimated to be more than Rs130 million.
Despite the presence of Safe City cameras and CCTV monitoring in the area, the suspects remain at large.
Authorities have collected evidence and obtained CCTV footage from multiple locations to aid the investigation.
Police have also registered a formal case and are conducting raids to apprehend the culprits.
