Senior-level reshuffles within the Punjab Police are expected, with the possible transfer of the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore under consideration following recent changes in the province’s police leadership, sources said on Tuesday.

The sources said that after the appointment of a new Inspector General (IG) Punjab, discussions have begun regarding a change in the CCPO Lahore, as both officers belong to the 24th Common.

The Punjab government is reviewing several names for the post, including IG Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi, while a decision is expected soon.

Meanwhile, a notification for the transfer of Riffat Mukhtar, Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (DG FIA), has been issued.
