A six-year-old child was killed after being hit by a mini-truck in the Korangi Mehran Town area of Karachi early on Wednesday morning, police said.

According to police, the deceased child was a neighbour of the truck driver.

The incident occurred when the driver was moving the mini-truck away from his house, and the child came out at the same time, resulting in the collision.

Police said the driver fled the scene after the incident.

However, the brother of the accused driver has been taken into custody for investigation.

The mini-truck involved in the accident, along with the accused’s brother, has been shifted to the police station as authorities continue their probe.
