Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Gul Plaza. While talking to the media, he said that this is a sad incident, precious lives were lost in the incident, there can be no compensation for the loss of life, but the loss suffered by the traders will be compensated.

The country’s political and religious leadership has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the horrific fire incident in Gul Plaza located in Saddar area of ​​Karachi, calling it a serious human tragedy.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has announced a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and assured the traders of compensation for the loss.

Sindh CM said that this is a 40-year-old building. People from all over Karachi come to shop in Gul Plaza, where there are more than a thousand shops. Till now, around 58 people are missing; may God help the missing people to be found.

Sindh CM said that he was not present in the city at the time of the accident; he reached Karachi at 5 pm. He received information about the fire in Gul Plaza after 10 pm on Saturday, and the first fire tender reached Gul Plaza at 10:27 pm.

“The Prime Minister has not contacted me yet. If any other agency is needed to extinguish the fire, he will contact me”, he said.
