PCB opens bidding for Multan Sultans ahead of PSL 2026
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has invited bids for the sale of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise, Multan Sultans.
The PCB has issued an advertisement in this regard. Interested parties can submit their bids until January 30, after which the PCB will conduct a technical review of the proposals.
A final list of qualified bidders will then be released, followed by the auction.
According to the PCB, anyone — including former owner Ali Khan Tareen — may participate in the bidding process.
The franchise will be sold for the next 10-year cycle of the PSL.
Previously, the PCB had decided to manage Multan Sultans directly for PSL 11, but the decision to sell comes after two new PSL teams fetched higher-than-expected prices at recent auctions, encouraging the board to put Multan Sultans on the market as well.
