Approval to make 3 additional judges of Islamabad High Court permanent
The Judicial Commission has approved the permanent appointment of 3 additional judges of Islamabad High Court, Justice Muhammad Azam Khan, Justice Muhammad Asif and Justice Inam Amin Minhas.
The announcement of the meetings of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan to be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi has been issued.
The Judicial Commission meeting ratified the appointment of Justice Najam Ud-din Mengal, Judge of the Balochistan High Court, as a permanent judge, while the recommendation for the confirmation of Justice Ayub Khan was rejected by a majority vote.
The announcement further states that a committee has been formed to consider the criteria for the nomination of judges for constitutional benches.
The committee will prepare recommendations regarding the appointment of judges, interviews, procedures, and amendments to the rules.
