A sessions court in Lahore on Tuesday extended the interim bail of TikToker Rajab Butt and co-accused Nadeem Mubarak until January 26 in a case related to the promotion of an alleged gambling application.

Additional Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmed Qureshi heard the petitions and allowed the investigating officer additional time to submit the case record and investigation report.

The court approved the request made by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) for more time to complete the inquiry.

During the hearing, both accused appeared before the court under strict security arrangements.

The NCCIA has registered a case against Rajab Butt and Nadeem Mubarak for allegedly promoting a betting app on social media platforms.

The court will take up the matter again after the submission of the investigation record.
