Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar left for China on Saturday, choosing Beijing as his first foreign visit of the new year, with key discussions expected on bilateral relations and cooperation.

According to sources, Pakistan and China will review their strategic partnership, while Ishaq Dar and the Chinese foreign minister will lead their respective delegations.

Detailed consultations will be held on the regional security situation.

Trade, economic cooperation, and collaboration in health and education will also be reviewed.

Sources said consultations will also be held to advance CPEC Phase II.
