China looks forward to working with Pakistan thru Dar’s visit: Lin Jian
China is looking forward to working with Pakistan through Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar’s visit to further follow up on the important common understandings reached between the leaders of the two countries, a Chinese official has said.
At the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will visit China and hold the Seventh Round of China-Pakistan Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue from January 3 to 5.
The visit will step up strategic communication and coordination, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various areas, carry out a series of commemorative events and accelerate the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
This was stated by Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian during his regular press briefing.
In response to a question regarding Dar’s visit, he said that the year 2026 marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
The upcoming visit will kick-start commemorative events of the anniversary.
He said that China and Pakistan are ironclad friends and all-weather strategic cooperative partners.
Over the years, the two countries have enjoyed close high-level exchanges with solid political mutual trust, deepened and expanded practical cooperation, and maintained a sound momentum of robust development of bilateral relations.
