Gold prices climb in Pakistan as global rates rise; silver hits record high
Gold prices in Pakistan rose on Saturday, tracking gains in the international market, while silver surged to a new all-time high in the local market.
According to rates issued by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of gold increased by Rs2,300 per tola to settle at Rs475,662.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,972 to Rs407,803.
On Friday, gold had closed at Rs473,362 per tola, reflecting a daily increase of Rs500.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $23 to $4,533 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices jumped by Rs462 per tola to Rs8,407, marking their highest level on record, dealers said.
