Mobile phones worth millions taken from Karachi shop
In a major robbery incident, armed men looted mobiles worth millions of rupees from a shop in the Badar Commercial area of Karachi’s DHA, police said on Saturday.
According to police, the armed men entered the shop at gunpoint and looted a carton filled with the expensive devices.
Police said preliminary estimates put the value of the stolen mobile phones between Rs4 million and Rs5 million.
However, the affected shop owner claimed that the total value of the looted phones exceeded Rs9 million.
Following the incident, police collected evidence from the crime scene and launched an investigation, while efforts are underway to trace and arrest the suspects.
Meanwhile, local traders staged a protest against the robbery, demanding the immediate arrest of those involved and the recovery of the stolen mobile phones.
