Court extends remand of four suspects in Dr Warda’s case
An Anti-Terrorism Court in Abbotabad has extended the remand for four arrested suspects in Dr Warda’s killing case to an additional three days after completing the hearing on Friday.
The accused, including Rida, Waheed, Nadeem and Parvez, have been under the custody of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.
Following the disappearance of Dr Warda, police arrested Rida, a friend of Dr Warda who left the hospital with her a few days ago.
According to the police, Rida took Dr Warda to her under-construction house and handed her over to suspect Nadeem.
According to the suspects’ information, police recovered the body and transferred it to the DHQ Hospital for a post-mortem.
On 8th December, after the funeral, Dr Warda rested easy in the cantonment area graveyard.
Protests continued at Benazir Shaheed Hospital, suspending all hospital services.
KP government forms JIT to probe murder
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced that form a Joint Investigation Team to investigate the murder of Dr Warda.
JIT in-charge Khayyam Hussain and member additional IG Sonia Shamroz and other team members recorded statements from many individuals.
The investigative team documented the statements of all persons linked to Dr Warda case and handed over to regional government of Khyber pakhtunkwa
