IHC grants protective bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt, TikToker Nadeem Naniwala
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday granted protective bail to YouTuber Rajab Butt and TikTok creator Nadeem Naniwala, ordering that they not be arrested upon landing at Islamabad Airport.
The decision came during a hearing before Justice Inam Amin Minhas on bail applications filed in connection with gaming app and cybercrime cases.
Lawyers representing the two content creators, led by Advocate Ahad Khokhar, told the court that their clients wished to return to Pakistan and face the pending cases in a trial court.
The court instructed that both Butt and Naniwala be presented before the IHC after landing, ensuring their safe return without immediate detention.
Earlier, the United Kingdom deported Rajab Butt on Tuesday morning after his UK visa was cancelled.
Reports indicate that his visa was revoked due to alleged non-disclosure of ongoing legal cases against him.
Rajab Butt is a popular Pakistani YouTuber known for creating entertaining and viral online content, with thousands of followers on social media platforms and videos that regularly attract significant viewership.
This move allows both content creators to return to Pakistan and face legal proceedings without the risk of arrest upon arrival.
