Gold prices continue downward trend in local and global markets
Gold prices in Pakistan recorded another decline on Wednesday in line with a fall in bullion prices in international markets.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Association, the price of gold fell by Rs1,000, bringing the per-tola rate down to Rs443,162.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs858 to Rs379,939.
In the international market, gold slipped by $10 per ounce and was trading at $4,208.
On the other hand, the silver prices in the local market witnessed an increase, with the per-tola price rising by Rs81 to reach Rs6,085.
Globally, silver also saw an uptick, climbing to $58.13 per ounce.
It is worth noting that gold prices had already seen a sharp fall of Rs2,700 per tola on Tuesday, settling at Rs444,162.
