2025’s final supermoon to light up night sky on December 4
Moon will appear larger and brighter than usual, says Sparco
The last supermoon of 2025 is scheduled to rise on December 4, illuminating the night sky in all its glory.
As per the Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO), the moon will look about 7.9% bigger and 15% more luminous than a typical full moon.
A supermoon takes place when the moon gets to its nearest position to Earth in its elliptical path while being completely lit.
This year’s third and final supermoon will rise at 4:58 PM on December 4 and reach its peak at 4:15am on December 5.
