Judicial Commission approves names for Sindh and Balochistan chief justices
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan on Tuesday recommended Justice Zafar Ahmed Rajput for appointment as the Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court.
The recommendation was made at a JCP meeting presided over by Supreme Court Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.
Justice Rajput is currently serving as the acting Chief Justice of the SHC.
The commission also recommended appointing Justice Muhammad Kamran Mulakhail as the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court. He is presently the acting Chief Justice of the BHC.
In addition, the meeting proposed the appointment of Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb as a permanent judge of the Supreme Court.
He has been serving as an ad hoc judge of the apex court.
