Abbottabad jeep plunge kills five, leaves five injured
Five people were killed and five others injured when a jeep travelling from Havelian to Magri plunged into a ravine on Friday, according to police and rescue officials.
Rescue 1122 said the jeep was carrying 12 passengers when it skidded off the mountain road and fell into the gorge.
Five bodies and five injured passengers were recovered from the site after a search operation.
Police said two passengers survived by jumping from the moving vehicle moments before the crash.
The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
