Nawaz Sharif inaugurates ‘Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar’ programme, two women win free plots
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Thursday inaugurated the “Apni Zameen, Apna Ghar” housing programme at the request of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, pressing the ceremonial button to mark the launch.
During the digital lottery draw, two women, Rukhsana Bibi from Attock and Mero Mai from Mandi Yazman, won free plots.
CM Maryam personally called both winners to congratulate them.
“Congratulations, your free plot has been allocated to you,” she told them over the phone.
Nawaz Sharif also spoke with the winners, extending his best wishes.
He contacted Mero Mai’s husband, Ramesh Lal, who replied respectfully, “You are our greatest national leader.”
The programme aims to provide affordable housing opportunities and reinforce the government’s commitment to supporting citizens’ access to land and homes across Pakistan.
