Three Chinese nationals were killed in a drone attack originating from Afghanistan on a labour camp near the Istiqlal post along the Tajik-Afghan border, the Tajik Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.

The attack occurred on the night of November 26, when a drone equipped with firearms and grenades targeted the camp operated by LLC Shaheen SM.

Tajik authorities said they are making continuous efforts to maintain peace and stability in the border region, but face ongoing threats from criminal elements operating across the Afghan border.

The foreign ministry expressed deep concern over the incident and strongly condemned the actions of the armed groups.

It called on Afghan authorities to ensure peace and stability along the border and take concrete measures to secure the frontier shared by both nations.
