Pakistani singer Asim Azhar has finally released his first fully independent album after weeks of anticipation, calling it his “most honest album yet.” To celebrate, he shared a heartfelt video with his mother on social media.

In an Instagram post, he wrote: “This album has songs that were written in my most vulnerable & honest state. I never thought you guys would listen to it because I was always made to think I had to do a certain kind of music to stay relevant. But with time, I realised that music is nothing if it’s not honest.”

The album, released last night, features 10 tracks: Asim Ali, Khabbay Sajjay, Na Ja, Changes, Lost n Found, Sugar Rush, Jind Mahi, Pari, U Got This, and Strangers, including a collaboration with Talha Anjum.

All songs are written and composed by Asim, produced by Kumail Abbas, mixed by Jokhay, and mastered by Rooshan.

Azhar revealed that the album has set a new national record for the most pre-saves for a Pakistani album.

He said he couldn’t sleep from excitement and thanked fans for supporting his music and art.

Ahead of the release, he deleted all his Instagram posts and shared a single story reading “Khuda Hafiz,” sparking concern among fans about his future in music.

Soon after, he rebranded himself as ‘Asim Ali’ and announced the album launch.

This marks Asim’s first fully independent project after years of hit singles and major-label collaborations.
