Karachi police arrest two suspects after Rs7.5 lakh robbery in Garden
Karachi police have arrested two suspects following an alleged encounter after they allegedly looted Rs 7.5 lakh from a trader in the Garden area.
The suspects, identified as Abid Abbas and Mir Kamran Sudhani, were injured during a two-way exchange of gunfire.
Police recovered weapons and a motorcycle from the duo.
According to SSP City Arif Aziz, the suspects have been involved in several robberies targeting hundreds of people withdrawing cash from banks.
Their gang reportedly included a woman who conducted reconnaissance, often asking citizens for lifts while her accomplices struck in isolated areas.
Authorities said the suspects are also wanted in Punjab in connection with multiple robbery cases.
CCTV footage reportedly shows the gang carrying out crimes and conducting prior surveillance of their targets.
Cases have been formally registered against the suspects.
