At least five terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Sibi on Tuesday.

According to police, the operation was conducted on an intelligence tip-off. During the raid, the terrorists opened fire on the CTD team, prompting a swift retaliatory response.

In the ensuing gun battle, five terrorists were killed on the spot. Security officials recovered a cache of weapons and explosives from the site.

A search operation was underway in the area to trace any remaining suspects, police said.
