FBR extends deadline for filing income tax returns until Oct 31
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday again extended the deadline for submitting income tax returns.
According to a notification issued by the FBR, the deadline for filing income tax returns for the fiscal year 2025 has been extended by 16 days, now set for October 31, 2025.
FBR sources said that so far, 5.1 million taxpayers have filed their returns, compared to 4.6 million by October 15 last year.
Earlier, the FBR had extended the filing deadline from September 30 by 15 days, setting the last date for submission as October 15, 2025.
