Two terrorists were killed and two others injured after security personnel thwarted an attack by militants on the Hassan Khel Police Station in the suburban area of Peshawar on Saturday.

The attackers were forced to retreat as police personnel retaliated to the attack with courage, professionalism, and a timely response.

Heavy gunfire was reported between police and the attackers which forced police to call reinforcements.

Following the incident, police launched a search operation in the area to trace any remaining suspects.

Additional troops have been deployed to ensure security and to keep the situation under control.

Meanwhile, the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar has commended the officers for their bravery and tactical skill in thwarting the attack.
