Petroleum prices likely to increase from October 1

Fluctuations in international market and geopolitical tensions main reason

Petroleum product prices in Pakistan are expected to increase for the next two weeks, starting October 1, 2025.

Petrol prices may rise by Rs1.97 per litre, while High-Speed Diesel (HSD) could see an increase of up to Rs2.48 per litre.

According to sources, prices of petroleum products are likely to go up by Rs1.76 to Rs4.65 per litre for the next 15 days.

The primary reasons behind the expected hike are fluctuations in international crude oil prices and ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Government sources indicate that the price of petrol (motor spirit) is expected to rise by Rs1.97 per litre, and the price of High-Speed Diesel could increase by up to Rs2.48 per litre.
