Journalist Imtiaz Mir sustained bullet injuries in a shooting incident near Kala Board in Malir, Karachi, on Sunday night.

Imtiaz Mir, who works as a TV anchor for a local channel, has been admitted to the hospital.

According to police, the shooting was carried out by a man and a woman riding a motorcycle, who fled the scene after the attack.

Police stated that Imtiaz Mir was shot in the chest and face, and two bullet casings were recovered from the scene.

According to police, the incident appears to be a targeted attack, but conclusive details will emerge after the injured anchor’s statement is recorded.

SSP Korangi Tariq Nawaz visited the crime scene and, speaking to the media, said that the incident is being investigated from all angles.

CCTV footage from the scene and surrounding areas is also being collected.
