A blast at a taxi stand near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Chaman killed five people and injured two others, officials said.

The Balochistan government has ordered an inquiry into the incident.

Following the explosion, security forces cordoned off the area, while the Levies and other law enforcement agencies reached the site.

According to the provincial home department, evidence is being collected and investigations are underway to determine the nature and motives of the blast.

All the bodies and the injured were shifted to the hospital.
