Lunar eclipse paints the moon red in stunning display

Lunar eclipse Peaks at 11.12pm, ends in 'Blood Moon' spectacle

A breathtaking lunar eclipse came to an end early Monday morning, offering a spectacular celestial display witnessed in Pakistan and around the globe as the Earth passed between the Moon and the Sun.

The eclipse began on Sunday at 8.28pm, when the Moon’s brightness began to gradually dim. The partial phase of the eclipse started at 9.27pm, followed by the total lunar eclipse at 10.31pm.

The eclipse attained its peak at 11.12pm, during which the moon changed its colour from yellow to deep red, culminating in a phenomenon known as the Blood Moon.

One of the most memorable moments occurred in Ankara, Türkiye, where cameras captured an aeroplane flying across the eclipsed moon.

In Pakistan, the eclipse concluded at 1.55am, wrapping up a night of awe and wonder for skywatchers across continents.
