Iran’s Kerman province shaken by 5.4 magnitude quake

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck Iran’s southeastern Kerman province on Tuesday morning, Iranian media reported.

According to the Seismological Centre of the University of Tehran, the quake occurred at 10:06am local time, with its epicenter located 41 kilometers from Panag, a remote area in the province.

State media said there were no immediate reports of casualties or serious damage, though rescue teams were placed on alert.
