Blast derails at least three coaches of Jaffar Express
The Jaffar Express train, which was heading towards Quetta from Rawalpindi struck by an explosion near Jacobabad on Monday.
The blast occurred between Sultan Kot and Jacobabad. No casualties or injuries have been reported in the incident yet.
According to railway sources, the explosion took place close to the train, which led to the derailment, but the timely response of the railway staff ensured that passengers were safely evacuated.
The operation is still halted as three coaches were derailed.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the nature of the explosion and are working to restore railway operations in the affected section.
