CEO of tech firm Astronomer Inc, Andy Byron, has resigned following a viral video showing him in a compromising moment with Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert in Massachusetts.

The pair were caught on the stadium’s big screen embracing, leading to speculation and swift online identification by social media users.

Astronomer Inc confirmed the resignation via a statement on LinkedIn, emphasizing that leadership is expected to uphold high standards of conduct and accountability standards that were “not met” in this instance.

Byron, who was placed on leave Friday, submitted his resignation, which the board accepted.

Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy has been appointed interim CEO. The company has not commented on Cabot’s employment status.
