Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appeared in public for the first time since Tehran’s rare direct military clash with Israel earlier this year.

Speaking at a ceremony in Tehran, Khamenei struck a defiant tone, praising the Islamic Republic’s response to what he called Israeli aggression and vowing continued resistance.

The event, attended by senior military commanders and clerics, marked the first time Khamenei has been seen in public since Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel in April, following a suspected Israeli strike on its consulate in Damascus.

Khamenei reiterated that Iran would not bow to Western or Israeli pressure, describing the confrontation as a “turning point” that had strengthened the country’s resolve.

He also emphasized Iran’s commitment to supporting regional allies and resistance groups.

His appearance comes as tensions remain high in the Middle East, with Western governments expressing concern over further escalation and the risk of open regional war.
