Regulators had issued warnings to Air India Express regarding delays in addressing a known issue with Airbus aircraft engines, according to an internal memo.

The memo revealed that authorities flagged concerns over the airline’s slow response in carrying out necessary repairs or fixes on Airbus engines, which could potentially affect flight safety.

The warning comes amid heightened scrutiny of airline maintenance practices and safety standards.

The aviation watchdog emphasized the importance of timely action to ensure the safety of passengers and the reliability of operations.

The memo also highlighted that delays in resolving such technical issues could lead to regulatory action or penalties.

Air India Express, a subsidiary of Air India, has not yet issued an official statement regarding the reported warning.
