The US Immigration Department has introduced a stricter policy on visa and green card regulations, warning prospective entrants to the country of heightened enforcement measures.

As per the new directive, individuals found to be involved in terrorism, promoting violence, or participating in related activities will be barred from remaining in the United States.

The US Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that those residing in the country without legal status will be treated as criminals under the law.

He further stated that any violation of U.S. laws could lead to the cancellation of visas and green cards.

The new policy also targets student visa applicants, with authorities warning that visas will be denied to those suspected of intending to join protests or incite unrest during their stay.
