Tribal leader Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal killed in terrorist attack in Khuzdar
Prominent tribal leader Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal was killed in a terrorist attack targeting his convoy near Aranji, Khuzdar, on Sunday. Four others, including his son, were injured in the assault.
According to initial reports, the ambush occurred while Mengal was en route to Aranji with his companions.
Local residents and security personnel quickly reached the scene, transporting the injured to a nearby hospital for medical care.
The area has since been cordoned off, and a comprehensive search operation has been initiated.
Mir Atta-ur-Rehman Mengal was the brother of Mir Naseer Mengal and Mir Shafiq-ur-Rehman Mengal, both influential figures in the region.
His death has sparked widespread fear and tension across Khuzdar, prompting heightened security measures.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far. However, officials have said that a full-scale investigation is underway, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.
