Balochistan to present over Rs1 trillion budget on June 17
The Balochistan government is set to present the provincial budget for the upcoming fiscal year on June 17, with the total outlay expected to exceed Rs1,000 billion.
According to official sources, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani will present the budget during a session of the Balochistan Assembly.
The upcoming budget, like the current fiscal year, is expected to be surplus.
Balochistan is projected to receive approximately Rs743 billion from the federal divisible pool, an increase of Rs70 billion compared to the current fiscal year.

These funds will be transferred under two main heads: the divisible pool and direct transfers from natural resources, including gas.
The province’s own revenue, including tax and non-tax receipts, is estimated to surpass Rs150 billion.
Non-development expenditures are expected to exceed Rs700 billion, while the proposed development allocation stands at over Rs240 billion.
Key sectors receiving significant funding include education (over Rs160 billion), law and order (over Rs100 billion), and health (around Rs80 billion).
Additionally, government employees in Balochistan are likely to see salary increases in line with federal government’s announcement.
