Indian actress Surbhi Das has stirred controversy by launching a hate-filled tirade against Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, accusing her of hypocrisy and attention-seeking despite making what she termed as anti-India statements.

In an Instagram story, Surbhi alleged that Hania constantly seeks attention from the Indian audience and dreams of entering Bollywood, yet criticises India. Surbhi wrote that Hania keeps begging for work through her posts targeting Indians. She targeted Hania Aamir by writing that she is “literally begging to get cast in Hindi films.”

The remarks came after Hania Aamir condemned the recent escalations and voiced support for Pakistani victims, calling out the violence allegedly perpetrated by Indian forces. Her stance drew backlash from Indian social media users, with some accusing her of exploiting Indian fandom while maintaining a hostile narrative.

Surbhi further questioned Hania’s silence during past incidents involving Indian casualties, writing: “No suddenly you have anger, why because your dreams of doing Hindi films got shattered???”

Hania Aamir has gained notable popularity in India in recent years, partly due to her collaborations and rumoured associations with Indian music stars like Badshah and Diljit Dosanjh.

Meanwhile, social media users appeared divided, with some defending Hania’s right to speak out and others suggesting she brought the backlash upon herself.

The incident reflects growing tensions between cross-border artists amid heightened political sensitivities, particularly in the wake of violent incidents like the one in Pahalgam.
