India loses jets: Chinese influencers troll India with viral satirical song
A satirical video mocking India’s recent military setback has gone viral on social media, featuring Chinese influencers dressed as stereotypical Indian characters singing a humorous song about the destruction of Indian Rafale fighter jets.
In the video, the young Chinese performers don colourful turbans adorned with toy aircraft and sing in their native language, ridiculing the failure of the Rafale jets. The comedic song highlights the high financial cost and complete operational failure of the jets allegedly downed by Pakistan during recent hostilities.
The lyrics of the song, loosely translated, are:
“I bought a fighter jet, it got badly thrashed
What a shame, all the jets were destroyed
Not a single one came back, 9 billion rupees down the drain
Everyone is mocking us, it’s so embarrassing!“
The video has struck a chord with viewers across the region, gaining rapid traction online, particularly among Pakistani users. One user commented, “Even the Chinese are mocking India more than we are,” while another noted, “This is the first time Rafales and Israeli drones have been shot down — a major win for the J-10C jets of Pakistan and China.”
The satirical content follows heightened military tensions between India and Pakistan. Earlier this month, India launched missile strikes across several Pakistani regions. In retaliation, the Pakistan Air Force claimed to have shot down five Indian fighter jets, including three Rafales.
