Pakistani-founded fintech startup Metric secures seven-figure seed funding for Gulf and Asia expansion
An AI fintech startup founded by Pakistani entrepreneurs, Metric, has successfully completed a seven-figure seed funding round, aimed at expanding its operations throughout the Gulf region and Asia.
Although the specific funding amount remains undisclosed, the startup, established in 2022 by Meenah Tariq, Omar Parvez, and CTO Dr. Habiba, has garnered investments from prominent firms such as Sanabil 500 Global, Hub71, i2i Ventures, Plus VC, Epic Angels, and Accelerate Prosperity.
As part of this funding announcement, Metric has unveiled what it claims to be the “world’s first Chief Financial AI,” named Max.
This groundbreaking tool serves as a “business co-pilot,” offering actionable insights derived from financial data to assist business owners in making informed decisions.
CEO Meenah Tariq highlighted that Max is designed to analyze spending patterns and pinpoint growth opportunities, enabling users to achieve sustainable financial success. The platform’s web app and AI are accessible in both English and Arabic, featuring educational content tailored for users in each language.

With over 130,000 businesses leveraging its services across 190 countries, Metric aims to improve access to financial products such as debit cards and streamline funding opportunities for entrepreneurs.
The recent funding will further enable the startup to solidify its presence in the MENAP region (Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan, and Pakistan) and enhance its fintech marketplace offerings.
Tariq expressed confidence in Metric’s growth trajectory, emphasizing the startup’s dedication to simplifying finance for business owners and increasing access to essential resources.
