Mossad’s ex-officials urge Netanyahu to end Gaza war, secure hostage release
In a powerful call for change, more than 250 former Israeli intelligence officials, including three ex-chiefs of Mossad, have demanded an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the return of hostages held in the conflict zone.
According to Israeli media reports, the joint statement was released by former negotiator David Meidan and signed by three former Mossad directors: Danny Yatom, Efraim Halevy, and Tamir Pardo.
In their statement, the former Mossad officials expressed full support for a recent letter written by members of the Israeli Air Force, in which they called on the government to end the war in Gaza and secure the release of hostages.
The former intelligence officers stressed that the ongoing war has placed the lives of both hostages and Israeli soldiers in serious danger. They urged Israeli leadership to act responsibly to protect the state and its citizens.

This statement follows a similar open letter from over a thousand Israeli Air Force reservists, who also demanded an end to the Gaza war. That letter publicly challenged the government’s war policy and Prime Minister Netanyahu’s decisions, further damaging Israel’s international standing.
