The Prime Minister has directed the construction of a dedicated hostel in Sector I-9. The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board has formally approved this initiative.

As part of the effort, the Special Education Center located in I-9 will be repurposed into a working women’s hostel.

The proposal for this construction was put forward by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Human Rights, addressing the urgent need for suitable housing for working women.

The CDA has communicated the approval to the Ministry of Education through a notification.

The Secretary of the Ministry of Education highlighted that the establishment of the hostel, following the Prime Minister’s instructions, aims to alleviate the residential challenges faced by women in the workforce.
