Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Rizwan has admitted to the criticism he often receives on social media due to his English speaking skills.

In a recent press conference, Rizwan openly acknowledged that he struggles with the English language due to limited education, but he feels no shame about it.

“I don’t care [about social media trolling]. I am proud of one thing and that is whatever I say, I say from my heart. I don’t know English.”

The Pakistan skipper expressed regret over not completing his education, noting that his current priority is playing cricket, which aligns with the demands of his profession.

He stated that the expectation from him is cricket, not English, and acknowledged that his lack of education contributes to his struggles with the language.

The cricketer stated that if Pakistan were demanding English from him, he would consider leaving cricket to become a professor, but he emphasized that he does not have that much time.

After a challenging tour in New Zealand, Rizwan has returned to Pakistan for the current Pakistan Super League 10 (PSL), where he is once again leading the Multan Sultans as captain.

Rizwan has frequently faced criticism on social media for his English, particularly in viral clips from team meetings and net sessions. Since taking on the role of Pakistan captain, the scrutiny has intensified. However, he emphasized that such criticism does not impact him.
