Police prevented multiple Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders from meeting the party founder, Imran Khan, in Adiala Jail.

Senior PTI figures Omar Ayub, Niaz Ullah Niazi, and Colonel (retd) Amirullah Marwat successfully arrived at the jail, while numerous others were intercepted en route.

The police stopped notable political figures, including Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Hamid Rizvi, and Punjab Assembly opposition leader Ahmad Khan Bhachar, at the Gorakhpur check post, hindering their attempts to meet the imprisoned leader.

It is important to mention that on Thursday, a list of visitors prepared for the jail authorities included prominent political personalities and others who had expressed a desire to visit Imran Khan during his incarceration.

A list of party leaders seeking to meet Khan at Adiala Jail on Thursday (today) has been submitted to prison authorities.

The list included key political figures as well as family members who have formally requested visitation.

According to sources, the list was provided by senior lawyer Salman Akram Raja, including PTI leaders Omar Ayub, Shibli Faraz, Malik Ahmad Bachar, Hamid Raza, Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri, and Niaz Ullah Niazi.

In addition to political visitors, a separate request for a family meeting has been made, naming Aleema Khan, Noreen Niazi, Uzma, and Qasim Zaman.

This comes after a previous attempt to meet Imran Khan on Tuesday was unsuccessful, prompting the resubmission of a family visitation request.

Meanwhile, tensions reportedly escalated following Aleema Khan’s brief detention earlier this week.

PTI leadership convened at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House, where a heated exchange allegedly occurred between Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja.

Sources further revealed that the names of Barrister Gohar and senior PTI leader Ali Zafar were not included in the official visitation list submitted a day earlier.

However, both were granted meetings, raising objections from within the party.

Senior members Atif Khan, Faraz, and Ayub expressed concern over the management and transparency of the visitation process.
