Emirates Airline has successfully transported over 90 million passengers between Dubai and India since its inception in 1985.

This landmark achievement was highlighted during the recent official visit of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, to India.

Emirates operates 167 weekly flights connecting Dubai to nine Indian cities, underscoring the growing importance of the India-Dubai air corridor.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and CEO of Emirates Airline and Group, noted India’s significance as one of the airline’s first destinations and emphasized the long-standing partnership between the UAE and India.

As travel demand continues to rise, the Government of Dubai Media Office (DMO) has reported that a total of 538 weekly flights are operated by six major carriers, linking Dubai to 23 key destinations in India.

In 2024 alone, India accounted for 12 million out of a total of 92.3 million passengers at Dubai International Airport, highlighting the enduring popularity of travel between the two nations.
