Sunny Deol supports Fawad Khan’s Bollywood return with ‘Abir Gulaal’
Indian actor Sunny Deol has expressed support for Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s return to the Bollywood industry with his film Abir Gulaal.
In an interview with HT City, he stated that he has no issues with Pakistani actors working in India.
Known for patriotic films like Border and Gadar, Deol’s comments come after the teaser for Abir Gulaal, set to release on May 9, sparked renewed interest.
“I prefer not to delve into politics, as that can complicate matters. We are actors, and our work is for everyone around the world,” he said.
“Whether people are watching or not, we aim to reach everyone. “
Deol highlighted the current global landscape, expressing the need to embrace a more interconnected world and welcome all countries.
Deol’s remarks follow the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by Raj Thackeray, announcing its opposition to the release of Abir Gulaal, which features Fawad Khan, scheduled for April 2.
Abir Gulaal is directed by Aarti S Bagdi (known for Chalti Rahe Zindagi), is produced by Indian Stories in collaboration with A Richer Lens and Aarjay Pictures. Fawad Khan stars alongside Vaani Kapoor in this project.
