Two bogies of Allama Iqbal Express derail at Khanewal Junction
Two bogies of the 9-up Allama Iqbal Express derailed at Khanewal junction while en route from Karachi to Sialkot.
According to officials, the derailment occurred unexpectedly due to a technical fault. Fortunately, no injuries or damage were reported in the incident.
The derailment temporarily disrupted train movement through the junction, causing delays. Divisional Superintendent (DS) Railways, Zulfiqar Ali, along with other concerned officials, oversaw the work carried out by the technical staff to restore the situation.
The DS Railways took immediate notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the derailment.
Train traffic was eventually restored, and the arrival and departure of trains resumed as usual.
