Elon Musk tops Forbes list; becomes world’s richest man
Forbes has released the list of the world’s richest individuals, according to which Elon Musk has taken the top spot with a net worth of $349 billion.
According to the list published by the American magazine Forbes, Elon Musk has become the world’s richest person, with a fortune of $349 billion.
Elon Musk’s assets have increased by $8.6 billion. In second place is Jeff Bezos, whose wealth amounts to $209.4 billion.
Mark Zuckerberg is the third-richest person in the world, with assets valued at $202.1 billion.
Musk’s most famous ventures include Tesla, SpaceX, and Neuralink. Under Musk’s leadership, SpaceX has developed reusable rockets and launched numerous successful missions, including sending astronauts to the International Space Station.
He first gained attention as a co-founder of Zip2, a software company that was sold to Compaq for nearly $300 million. He later founded X.com, which evolved into PayPal, a leading online payment platform, which was sold to eBay for $1.5 billion in 2002.
In November 2024, President Donald Trump appointed Musk to lead the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), aiming to streamline federal operations.
