Shane Warne’s death linked to drug found at villa, claims Daily Mail
Australian cricketer Shane Warne, who passed away from a massive heart attack in 2022, reportedly died due to a “powerful sex drug, Kamagra, found at the luxury villa, according to Daily Mail.
A senior police officer has claimed that the drug was quietly disposed of by investigating police officers.
A postmortem was conducted in Thailand that determined that Warne died of natural causes, citing congenital heart weakness and ruling out any foul play.
The officer alleged that he was ordered to remove a bottle of Kamagra—an unregulated erectile dysfunction treatment—found lying close to Warne’s body. This omission from the official police report has raised eyebrows and sparked speculation about a possible cover-up.
The officer, who spoke on condition of anonymity, stated, “We were ordered by our seniors to get rid of the bottle. These orders were coming from up high, and I think senior officials from Australia were also involved because they did not want their national figure to have an ending like this.”
He added that the official report concluded that Warne suffered a heart attack, with no other details provided about potential contributing factors.
“No one will come out to confirm the Kamagra because it remains a sensitive subject. There were lots of powerful invisible hands behind all this.”
The source noted that while it was confirmed a bottle was found, the amount Warne may have taken remains unknown. “There was also a puddle of vomit and blood at the scene, but we cleared the Kamagra as we were told to,” he said.
Following Warne’s death, Thai police confirmed they would fast-track procedures to ensure the sporting great’s body was sent home as soon as possible, further raising concerns about the thoroughness of the investigation into the circumstances of his passing.
Kamagra, which is manufactured in India and contains the same active ingredient as Viagra, is illegal in Thailand and not recognised by the country’s national drug agency.
Before arriving in Koh Samui, Warne was reported to be suffering from heart disease and asthma, as stated by the Thai police officer in charge of the investigation at the time.
During his stay, Warne was at the luxurious Smujana Villas resort, enjoying a boys’ trip with three friends, having arrived on March 3.
A source in Koh Samui revealed that the police instructed the women who were last seen with Warne to leave the island, citing that his death had attracted unwanted international attention that could negatively impact tourism.
