Nighttime transport ban imposed in Balochistan districts
Authorities in several districts of Balochistan have announced a ban on the movement of buses and public transport during nighttime hours.
The Deputy Commissioners of Zhob, Kachhi, and Musa Khel issued notifications detailing the restrictions.
The Deputy Commissioner of Zhob has prohibited passenger buses and coaches traveling between Quetta and Dera Ismail Khan, operating between 6pm and 5am until further notice from March 27.
In Kachhi, the Deputy Commissioner has enforced a similar regulation beginning March 28, banning all public transport and vehicles from entering the Bolan area from 5pm to 5am.
During these hours, transport traveling from Sibi to Quetta will be halted at Nari Bank railway station, while traffic from Quetta to Sibi will be stopped at Kolpur.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner of Musa Khel has announced that from March 28, all public and private transport, including small and large vehicles, will not be allowed on the N-70 National Highway from 6pm to 5am until further notice.
Transport traveling from Loralai to Dera Ghazi Khan (Punjab) will also be stopped at Gangri during these hours.
Recently, an attack happened on March 12 on the Jaffar Express as security forces stated that terrorists used explosives to derail the train before opening fire. The attack resulted in multiple fatalities, including the train’s driver.
