Petition filed in IHC for recovery of missing journalist Waheed Murad
A petition for the recovery of missing journalist Waheed Murad has been filed in the Islamabad High Court by his mother-in-law, Abida Nawaz.
The petition was submitted by lawyers Iman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chhatta, naming the Secretary of Interior and Defense, the Inspector General of Islamabad, and the Station House Officer of Karachi Company as respondents.
In the petition, it is stated that at around 2am, individuals dressed in black uniforms arrived at the petitioner’s home, accompanied by two police vehicles.
These individuals forcibly took Waheed Murad, and there was also reported misconduct towards the petitioner.
The petitioner further claimed that despite filing a report at the Karachi Company police station, no case has been registered.

The petitioner has requested the Islamabad High Court to order the immediate recovery of Waheed Murad and to take action against those who unlawfully abducted him.
